SPL is a Public Listed Company since 1967 and is the sole manufacturer of security-featured paper in Pakistan for banknotes, identity documents, financial instruments, educational certificates, and other security papers. Being an equal opportunity employer, the Company is looking for an experienced and dynamic professional for the following position based in Karachi.

General Manager Internal Audit

Job Purpose:
To head the Internal Audit function of the Company, ensuring planning, supervision, and performance of audit/risk assignments including financial audits, IT audits, internal control reviews, operational and performance audits, compliance with laws and company policies, investigations, and other tasks assigned by the Board Audit Committee.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive Audit Plan aligned with organizational strategies and risks
  • Assess risk management efforts and internal controls
  • Examine financial and operational records for adequacy and efficiency
  • Objectively assess IT and business processes
  • Supervise audit procedures and investigate potential fraud
  • Perform compliance and substantive audit tests
  • Report control weaknesses and recommend improvements
  • Stay updated with International Standards on Auditing and regulatory compliance

Qualification:
CA / ICMA / CIA / CFE / CICA

Age/Experience:

  • Maximum 40 years
  • 11–15 years post-qualification experience, with 5 years in senior management audit role in a comparable organization

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication and judgment
  • Efficient time and workload management
  • Experience with senior management and Board Audit Committee
  • Ability to manage IT-based audit systems
  • Strong financial analysis skills
