SITUATION VACANT

Applications are invited from Pakistani nationals for appointment against the following positions:

Director (BPS-20/21)
Qualification:

  • PhD in European Studies (preferably), International Relations, Political Science, or General History from an HEC-recognised national or international university.

Tenure:

  • Four (04) years, either on deputation or contract basis
  • Upper age limit: 55 years

Eligibility Criteria (HEC Prescribed):

  • Minimum 15 research publications, including at least 5 within the last 5 years in HEC-recognised journals
  • 15 years teaching/research experience in HEC-recognised university/postgraduate institution or relevant professional experience in national/international organisation
    OR
  • 10 years post-PhD teaching/research experience in recognised institution or relevant professional organisation

Assistant Professor (BPS-19) – Contract (02 Posts)
Qualification:

  • PhD in European Studies (preferably), International Relations, Political Science, or General History from an HEC-recognised national or international university

Terms of Appointment:

  • One-year contract (extendable)
  • Fixed salary: Rs. 80,000/- per month (no additional allowances or perks)

Instructions:

  1. Govt./Semi-Govt./Autonomous body employees must apply through proper channel with NOC
  2. Submit 06 hard copies of application (duly bound) and soft copy (PDF) of complete dossier on prescribed proforma
  3. Attach attested copies of academic degrees/certificates, experience certificates, CNIC, domicile, and 2 passport-size photographs
  4. Include Pay Order of Rs. 5000/- in favour of University of Karachi
  5. Applications must reach Deputy Registrar (Academics), University of Karachi within 30 days of advertisement
  6. Email submission also accepted at registrar@uok.edu.pk (scanned testimonials), but hard copy is mandatory
  7. Selected candidates governed by Centre’s rules and regulations
  8. Centre reserves right to increase/decrease positions, withhold appointments, or reject applications without reason
  9. Incomplete or late applications will not be entertained
  10. All documents must be duly signed
  11. No TA/DA admissible for interview
